Rebekah Lorene's unclassifiable style is derived from not only her eclectic taste in music (Ryan Adams, Reckless Kelly, and Rachael Yamagata to name a few) but also her Texas upbringing. Born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, TX, her inital influences were the Loretta Lynn, Roy Orbison and Marty Robbins tapes her mother played in the car. Growing up in a small country town left a BIG country impression but stints in Austin, Denton and Dallas brought out the emotional, rocking inspirational side that keep bar patrons tuned in.
Rebekah has been writing songs on some level since third grade. After collecting sheets of paper in her drawer for years, she took up the guitar in early high school in order to put the words to music. She's been a living room main attraction for most of a decade and only recently came on the public scene. Her intelligent lyrics and strong verses have already garnered some notice. This small town native looks to be on the rise.
