Sounds Like
"They take witty lyrics, energetic music, and melodic vocals and make a concoction that’s pure musical enjoyment."
- Calvin (Dewey) Williams III, Music Director, WMHW Modern Rock 91.5 Michigan

"Red Carpet Rats are the best new voice within the music industry. Uni is a great mixture of Chris Cornell and Ben Hurley. This band totally rocks!!!"
- Chad Eddinger, General Manager, 91.1 FM WBUQ "The Revolution" Pennsylvania

"RCR is pop rock at its finest! Top-notch lyrics. Infectious melodies. Harmonies for days. To say I'm a fan is an understatement. Big R Radio's find of the year!"
- Mike Johnson, Executive Program Director, 100.8 'The Hawk', Big R Radio, Seattle

"Red Carpet Rats are melody pounding rocksters who could be compared to U2 . . . their music has an ageless quality that will keep their music spinning constantly because it never gets old."
- Jonathan Lehmann, Station Manager, WPNR 90.7 New York

"Fantastic harmonies and a snappy uptempo sound. I love 'Photographic Memory' . . . 'Creeping In' was my choice to introduce this band to my audience . . . I will be playing more of RCR as the weeks go by."
- Jonathan L, DJ, 98 KUPD Arizona

"Red Carpet Rats is a perfect fit for anyone's pop rock musical candy collection!"
- Keri Fico, Music Director, WUSB 90.1 New York

"They definately ROCK! Our listeners in 35 countries and 133 U.S. Cities rate our tunes, and Red Carpet Rats continue to be one of our highest rated independant artists!"
- AC Stewart, Programme Director, Spiderwebradio, live365.com

"A refreshing burst of rock energy, melody, and intelligence that promises to knock your socks off!"
- Brad Westmar, The Wild Wild Westmar Show, KCHost Radio Network, Missouri

"Catchy hook-driven pop . . here's an energetic upbeat band with some purpose!"
- Rich Rev, DJ, Revolving Doors Radio, British Columbia, Canada

"Pure power pop!"
- Blair Lott, Music Director, Alternative Alternative Radio, Atlanta

"'Written In The Scars' is one of the greatest tunes I have come across. I find myself humming the chorus hours after hearing the song."
- Steve Bridges, DJ/Program Director, VooDoo Radio, Massachusettes

"The song 'Photographic Memory' has been in heavy rotation since we got it. The only reason that the song has not been played on commercial stations is because the Red Carpet Rats are not on a major label...Commercial stations need to realize that an artist does not have to be on a major label to be good."
- Brad Denney, Music Director, KWCR-FM 88.1 Utah

"You can put RCR in a time capsule and bury it...then dig it up in the year 2020...and the music would still be a hit! Yes, they are that good!"
- Randall B. Jones COO / Editorial Director, Nine5Four The Magazine, Boca Raton, Florida

"Red Carpet Rats deliver hooky powerpop and a cool vibe in their music that is not easy to find on the radio or anywhere these days. Undeniable talent, solid performance and catchy tunes make them a band to watch!"
- Tom Beggs, Producer, Split TV - The Future of Music Television (ATL, NYC & LA)

"A catchy hook-driven power pop sound along with witty song lyrics put the Red Carpet Rats music in the fast lane of music's super highway."
- C.W. Ross, Senior Writer, IndieMusicStop.com

" . . . this band is more than the latest rock-pop group to hit the circuit. They are here with obvious ambition, a principle held up by sharp lyrics, memorable riffs and unparalleled style . . a prime example of what upcoming bands should strive to create."
- Richie Frieman, President, PensEyeView Magazine, Baltimore

"RCR's a band that can truly play pop rock, with catchy beats and lyrics that we can all instantly connect to."
- Jo Wrigglesworth, Editor, Fusion Music Magazine, Melbourne, Australia

"Red Carpet Rats are one of a kind. They have reached 'outside the box' to create a unique style all their own with an incredible sound that is unmatched by ANY band out there. Their music so far surpasses common standards and you are drawn in and captured. These guys are excellent! Pay attention!"
- Susie Stokes, Mills Acoustics, Owner/ Business Mgr./Artist Relations.

"RCR delivers precise, infectious melodies and a sonic tightness. The result? Pure pop rock power!"
- Monica Whittaker, Writer, Talent In Motion Magazine

"I think that 'Photographic' has a very nice catchy beat to it. I look forward to receiving some more tracks in the future. Well done . . ."
- Dee Chapman, Owner, Radio Gets Wild XM/Sirius Radio, United Kingdom

"This is radio ready rock filled with terrific vocals and harmonies and choruses that absolutely stick in your cerebellum."

"In my opinion, as good as Aerosmith."
- Chris J., age 11, Nashville elementary school

   About RED CARPET RATS
Unabashed and unapologetic, Red Carpet Rats offers enthusiasts seamless, driven, power pop rock – a musical opportunity to live in the moment and bask in an energy-rich wave of sound. In their live and recorded projects, RCR aims for perfection. The band interacts with and feeds off their audience, with the final musical delivery executed in a professional precision. The result of thousands of practice hours and a collective, obsessive attention to detail, the Rats have taken over the “Red Carpet” and set it ablaze.

The Rats’ edgy and gripping tunes deliver a succinct, four-part harmony with evidence of individual creativity. Lead singer Uni Pereira’s lyrics, in his alternately raspy and coy voice, spiral around guitarist McCabe’s melodies and quick fingerwork. Drummer Tige Bucchino lays the foundation with a steady bombardment of beats while bass player Doc Singles extends seething bass lines and high harmonies to the mix. These individual elements align to create a hard rock counterpoint to their hooky pop melodies.

The Nashville-based group’s new CD, “The Year of the Rat” on Chauffeur Records, includes 11 songs produced by McCabe, mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Kevin Beamish (Elton John, Henry Rollins), and mastered by Randy LeRoy (Relient K). “Eleven songs of faith, hope, and misery” is how Uni describes it. Anchored by the memorable debut single “Photographic Memory,” and the equally catchy and moving “Creeping In,” as well as the haunting, groove-heavy “Written In The Scars,” the collection includes a special guest appearance by session ace Tim Akers (Kid Rock, Jewel).

Chauffeur Records, the brain child of Uni and McCabe, enters this project in a joint venture with publishing and licensing company Ash Street Music. This 2008 joint venture looks to include multi-media components with "The Year of the Rat” release, targeting film, TV and video game placement.

The 2008 initiatives come on the heels of RCR’s 2007 E.P., “Rug Burns,” which mines the depths of love, the angst of love lost, and the realization you’ve wasted love on some loser you don’t give a *$% about anymore. All five of “Rug Burns’” songs have gotten regular airplay on over 80 mainstream, college and internet radio stations, gathering a string of superlative-laden reviews. “The best new voice within the music industry,” says Chad Eddinger, General Manager of 91.1 FM WBUQ Pennsylvania. Calvin Williams III, Music Director at Michigan’s 91.5 FM WMHW echoes Eddinger’s accolades. “They take witty lyrics, energetic music, and melodic vocals and make a concoction that’s pure musical enjoyment.”

The reviews exceptional, yet fail to mention how inspiring the Rats are in their human form. Each of the Rats are indeed workaholics who have several other projects keeping their schedule active. Uni documents life as an indie musician in monthly feature articles for the popular publication ACED Magazine, as well as in a similarly themed weekly radio show, ‘Club Uni,’ on the U.K.-based station Error FM. Not to mention, he and Doc are writing/readying a Red Carpet Rats comic book for release. As a collective, RCR hosts song-writing clinics for students at a local Nashville school, and keep a hands-on attitude with their international street team, The Rats Pack. Never missing an opportunity to give back, Red Carpet Rats are joining the Armed Forces Entertainment Group in touring overseas military bases.

It’s safe to say that wherever Red Carpet Rats lands this year, it’s sure they’ll offer at least a brief escape and some energy-infused R&R to one and all.
