Born in Rome, he began studying classicalpiano and organ with Enrico Pasini, in addition to classical composition with Gino Marinuzzi, an esteemed Italian conductor and composer who is associated with Richard Wagner and the Italian repertory. He continued his valuable education by studying musical writing andarranging with Dick Walters, the United Kingdom’s most popular musical arranger for television, and with Brian Priestley, a revered jazz writer, pianist, andarranger who has collaborated with Tony Faulkner, Alan Cohen, Duke Ellington,and Digby Fairweather. Using his education, he composed, arranged, and played for renowned theater productions such as Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore,They are playin’ our song, My Fair Lady, Cinecittà, Concerto per un Poeta (EzraPound) and L’Isola di Robinson Crusoe. Through the production of these musicals, he was able to work with such musical experts as G. Proietti, the musical director for the Italian versions of My Fair Lady ,Chicago and Jesus Christ Superstar. In addition to theater, he has written,arranged and conducted music for a large number of orchestra, television and album productions. He collaborated in the orchestration of the grand opera Jacquerie by his mentor, Gino Marinuzzi. Additionally, as a piano-keyboard player, he played with great Jazz Giants such as Benny Golson, Buddy de Franco, Tony Scott, Slide Hampton and others. He also arranged and conducted releases for several pop stars, such as Abba Pater, a widely famous devotional album from Pope John Paul II that was featured on the Billboard 200 chart. He has also written, arranged and conducted music for a large number of music soundtracks such as Mafia Signs, Orgoglio, Un papa quasi perfetto, My House in Umbria, Turn of the Century, Tale of the Mummy, La donna del treno, Sub Down, Deserto di fuoco, Silent Trigger, Hidden Assassin, and Il grande fuoco, among many others. In addition to his career in musical arrangement, he took part in a number of radio and television broadcast in Italy on such programs as Canzonissime, RadioUno Jaz Sera, Indietrotutta, International DOC club, Scommettiamo che?, and Mille lire al mese.
