Scare Bears - perverted pop culture for the sick and singular pleasure of the band members or a group of trend oriented pseudo-punks adopting adorable animal names to stun and awe their fifteen year old following? Nintendo generation rebels or just another boy band? No question more pertinent has confronted the world of men since that chicken/egg conundrum.
Formed initially in 2003 the Scare Bears quickly became well versed in the local scene having played at various halls and events around CT. During that time the music and stage presence evolved into what it now is today.
Their amusing stage antics, catchy riffs, and lyrics born of a peculiar world view have enabled them to reach fans of varied musical interests. The subjects of their songs universally understood and the sense of humor behind it refreshingly pointed.
Within a year of its conception the band has managed to get opening slots for such national acts as Celldweller, Steve-O, KottonMouth Kings and Wolfpac, as well as complete a fourteen song demo cd in their home music studio.
They are currently performing and promoting their demo, spreading the phenomenon that is Scare Bears. While they enjoy the stage and take pains to ensure that each show is entertaining and original they still manage to keep a professional and open attitude when working with other bands and venues.
