hello again! i'm in england now and suffering terrible melancholy for having left tokyo. its a fraudulent summer out here, rain and drizzle and icy winds whip around reminding me of how much more there was to see. i'm hooked on the city i love it all and i've sworn to myself to return at my earliest convenience. huddling inside away from the rain and dreaming of new york, thinking of all of you there in cyclonic australia and hoping everyone is safe and happy, kate xo

All poetry is mythologizing and strives to reconstitute myths about the world. The mythologizing of the world is not over yet; the process was only halted by the development of knowledge, diverted into a side channel where it exists on without comprehending its own meaning. But knowledge is nothing more than the construction of a myth about the world, since myth lies in the very elements themselves, and there is no way of going beyond myth. Poetry reaches the meaning of the world intuitively, deductively, with large, daring shortcuts and approximations. Knowledge seeks the same meaning inductively, methodically, taking into account all the materials of experience. Fundamentally, one and the other are bound for the same goal.

tricks are good. I actually have a leedle bit of uni work to get through, so have been a good girl since the easter break, but there have been plenty of fun times and in about a month I have nearly four months of euro-treking ahead of me. W-O-W!! If I can break out of my late, late-night sleeping habits, I'm going to start setting my alarm and streaming drive. Oh and thankyou, thankyou for the handwritten love by the way, you're all such sweethearts! Hope you’re all content and healthy, besos (that’s Spanish for kisses)!!

yeah! i still felt the effects this morning when i woke up actually..i think it was mainly induced by a lack of sleep (addictd to twin peaks right now arrgh) but im glad yr abs are shaping up, i walked past this karate thing near my house jsut then and they were doing swivvely sort of exercises that looked pretty effective. try that. or just get pissed. whicevz. im gonna try my darndest to come on satruday to 2ser but i might be in the suburbs somewhere...hmmmm!!!! lets have an existential brainstorm

Hey there, M'dear

Don't worry 'bout it - hope you're feeling better. I wasn't sure who was or wasn't there after the first 15 beers so, hey!

My Dad's still in town until Monday - so it's a bit crazy (and just got an office in The Cross) - but am going to Sounds on Saturday night, so maybe see you guys there?

Cheers,

Chris
