She released her first EP under her alias "Sunny D" with production from local wizards Time One, Kid Epic and DJ Chocolate. The CD was completely organized and financed by the woman herself. Now she's taken on a brand new monicker, a new attitude and focus, and a new producer. RedSonia's stepped into the studio with D-Ray from the Rhythmicru, forging a new sound for her sophomore effort along with DJ Sawtay at her live shows.
Her music reflects the hip hop roots which have had her firmly in their grasp for more than 15 years, and her lyrics reflect the take-no-shit tomboy attitude and confidence with which she carries herself in her daily life.
Bike courier by day, brazen femcee by night, RedSonia is a real-life superhero conquering this frigid Canadian winter, one microphone - and one package - at a time.
