Tabloid Witch Awards ... a Horror Film Contest's Blurbs
About me: The Tabloid Witch Awards is a NO ENTRY FEE horror film contest, now in its 6th year! We are seeking short and feature length horror films. Sponsored by the Hollywood Investigator.
Who I'd like to meet: Filmmakers, actors, actresses, composers, musicians, writers, and others involved in the production of horror films.
Here's a news feature about the Tabloid Witch Awards that aired on Sunset Stripped, on Los Angeles channel 36 and on Santa Monica City TV Channel 16. Produced & directed by 2007 Tabloid Witch Award winner Erasmo Romero III (after he'd won his Tabloid Witch, of course).

I mailed a short film to you the other day for consideration for your festival, and I just want to say (and I believe I speak for filmmakers everywhere), the fact that you do not charge an entry fee is VERY MUCH appreciated.

"In a time where so much horror seems to be focused upon excess, yet missing the narrative to support the splatter, it was really refreshing to sit down and watch a film that focused more upon suggestion and subtle atmospheric chills". (Horrorsociety.com)
"Road to L. is a highly successful film on so many levels, it creates true horror with so little, has excellent character development, an fascinating plot and creates a mood which will haunt you for a long time after watching it". (Synergy-magazine.com)
"After decades of filmmakers who neglected the hard to visualize cosmical horror of the HPL oeuvre, or who simply just used his work as a jumping off point for zany pieces of splatter-amusement (Re-Animator and co.), Greco and Leggio have chosen for a smartly balanced solution". (Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival)
"I watched this film repeatedly. I returned to books, read through the footnotes, and dug deep into annotations. It messed with me, made me, even if for a second, rethink some of what I had come to accept as unshakable truth. The Road to L. may be a hoax, but it is one with an unflinching eye". (DreadCentral.com)
Thanks again for getting our film out there. The press helped get our film picked up by Lions Gate. Anyone with a great independent horror film send submit it to these guys. Pure Gold!

Set in an all-male school, the story follows Timothy who suffers the wrath of his homophobic classmates. He withdraws into his imagination where macho rugby players morph into dancing fairies decked in go-go boy attire. When asked to star in the school play he first balks at acting. As Timothy eventually embraces the mischievous character of Puck, he finds the secret to a magical pansy that seems to turn people gay! He then puckishly imposes a new reality by turning much of his narrow-minded town gay, beginning with the rugby-jock of his dreams.
