BAND BIO
The fall of Valkyrie (originally "Valkyrie") was formed in August of 2009. Brothers Nathan and Brendan Russell set out to form a band the likes of which this area has never seen before. They found Andrew and drafted him into the line up as one of 2 lead guitarists.
Then came the job of finding a bass player and with a little bit of luck Tommy was found and recruited. Tommy Tiffin-Ryan aka Von Vandal helps add the energy and finesse that is rapidly becoming known as "the fall of Valkyrie". We went on with this line-up for around a month all the while searching for a drummer...Until fate handed us one Karl French. A seasoned and skilled drummer from Narrandera. Henceforth a legend was born.
We went on to work on cover songs as well as writing our own original material including our first single "The Slain".
We’ve have since gone on to perform at the Top pub/Narrandera hotel and in the local leg of Global Battle of the bands at the capital saloon in Wagga Wagga
We are currently well underway in writing our first album with all members of the band contributing to the writing process.

We're currently doing a lot of cover songs like Freak -Silverchair, Stumbling’ – Powderfinger, Get free – The vines, Smells like teen spirit – Nirvana, Walk – Pantera, lost control – Grinspoon, Last kiss – Pearl jam, Anthem 2000 – Silverchair. However..we really love doing our own stuff and hope to soon be a fully original band
