The Jons completed their debut album, Wine at the Hilltop, in the fall of 2002 and kept busy playing at many of the popular bars and venues around Tucson. After a successful west coast tour, The Jons began to attract bigger venues and audiences enamored by their blazing horn section and ability to rock in both English and Spanish at any given moment.
With a complete band of 6 members and an arsenal of original music, The Jons have formed a cohesion that has allowed incredible accomplishments. They have played with the likes of,The English Beat,The Dismemberment Plan, the Gin Blossoms,Seether, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers, Oh My God and international acts such as El TRI,Alex Lora,FOBiA,Alejandro Marcovich of Caifanes,Cafe Tacuba,KINKY,Los Amigos Invicibles,Babasonicos,Nortec Collective, Resorte, Aleks Syntek, Alejandra Guzman, and Enanitos Verdes. The Jons are currently in the process of recording their 4th studio album.

This Saturday night we are throwing a Halloween Party at the Orpheum with Yin Yang and Zen Some. Sedona superfreaks Yin Yang and Zen Some know how to throw a party. Its actually impossible to convince them not to dress up in costumes during the 364 days of the year that are not Halloween. That's why we thought that they would be a particularly appropriate band to play Halloween. YYZS plays a an eclectic mix of music, focusing on 80s songs that don't suck (think New Wave, Talking Heads, etc...). So put on your freakiest outfit and come down to the Orpheum to dance. Bwahahahahaha!
The show is all ages, ONLY $5, and starts at 9pm.

This weekend we have Toubab Krewe from Asheville, NC at the Green Room with DJ Soe. Toubab plays a very original mix of West African, surf rock, jazz, and funk. Its kind of like Medeski Martin and Wood-African Style. Cover is $10 and show starts at 9pm.
Also on Friday at the Orpheum are Kottonmouth Kings with Blastenation and Potluck. All Ages and $25.
And Saturday at the Orpheum is our Greenhouse Productions 9 Yr Anniversary with Xtra Ticket-AZ's premier Dead tribute band. This free show is all ages. There will be prizes as well as a Dr Seuss Rhyme-Off. We'd love to see you. Doors at 8, show at 9pm.

What's up!? Just wanted to let you know what was going on with P6! Our 9th anniversary show is this Halloween! We will be playing with Bulletboys (Smooth Up in Ya back from the 80's!), Bionic Jive (AZ's resident old-school rap/rock soldiers!) and more at The Platinum Club inside Skye.
Also we're finally recording new tracks! Keep an eye out in November for our 2 track EP featuring songs off our upcoming new album "The New Amerikan Idols."
