Cosmic American presents...Gurf Morlix
"Morlix should henceforth be regarded as nothing less than one of the most compelling and formidable songwriters in his adopted home state of Texas, if not in all Americana music."

Tempting as it may be, don't just judge Gurf Morlix by the company he keeps, even if it does provide a fine starting point: eminent musical artists like Lucinda Williams, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Warren Zevon, Ian McLagan, Patty Griffin, Robert Earl Keen, Michael Penn, Buddy Miller, Mary Gauthier, Tom Russell, Jim Lauderdale and Slaid Cleaves, to name but a few. Instead, listen to Last Exit to Happyland, his fifth solo album, and understand why his blue-ribbon associations as a producer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist have led Morlix to a similar level of excellence as a singer, songwriter and artist in his own right

Cosmic American presents...Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett
An Evening with 'The Guitarist's of Little Feat Acoustic Duet'

Now they have joined forces to form an acoustic duet that will quite frankly blow you away. Performing songs from their Little Feat catalogue and more with a decidedly different twist. They first played together on the album 'Dixie Chicken' some twenty-five years ago, and since then have played together, or individually on numerous recording sessions for Little Feat and countless others, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Dionne Farris, and the Wallflowers to name a few.

Paul Barrere has been a member of Little Feat since 1972, joining the band just after the release of 'Sailing Shoes' hired on as the rhythm guitarist to back up Lowell George's cutting slide. Fred Tackett became a member of Little Feat in 1987 just before the making of 'Let It Roll' but in a sense he has been a member for a whole lot longer. Writing songs for, and playing on recordings with the Feat since 1972. One of the leading studio guitarists in Los Angeles since moving there in 1967 to join up with old friend Jimmy Webb, Fred's credits are really too numerous to list, but along with his many sessions he found time to travel with Bob Dylan for three years, Bob Seger for one tour of duty, and Boz Scaggs, just as Silk Degrees was making discos almost tolerable.

Hot House Theatre presents...
A Christmas Carol

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit? The age old classic tale of Scrooge in a new adaptation that retains all the charm and poignancy of the original story but presented in the unique HotHouse way.

This production of A Christmas Carol is as Dickens intended it. By using the original prose and a split narrative story telling technique, 4 actors will take you from the penny pinching beginnings through the chilling arrival of Jacob Marley and the ghost of Christmas past present and future to the ultimately up lifting finale.
