Sounds Like
The warblings of a thousand wild birds at dawn, with a badly mis-firing Land Rover. Well what do you want me to say? For heaven's sake!!! ... Sometimes we have brass players with us and then we sound different from the us plus banjo line-up.
Pamela (fiddle, banjo, nyckelharpa, guitar) was hatched from a Cadbury’s Cream Egg somewhere in Reading in the days when you could still buy a Curly Wurly and have change. She has been famously described as "Terminally Flippant" and nobody has come up with a better description yet.
Carole (accordion, whistle, serpent, guitar) crawled from the centre of a thrum-eye primrose only yesterday, and has lived in Kent ever since, surviving on a diet of hops and Sunset apples. She is still waiting to get a word in edgeways.
We only list the gigs which are open to the public: a great many of ours are wedding receptions and other private parties, so not much point in telling you really.
This years festival is headlined by Billy Bragg (Friday), Seth Lakeman (Sunday) and Peatbog Faeries (Saturday) with many more top artists also performing incl the award winning The Demon Barbers.
