Performers 1 and 2 are from the Hive at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Performers 3 through and including 7, as well as 39, 40, 43, 44, 45 and 46,we saw at World Café Live, in Philadelphia PA. Performers 8 through and including 18 are bands that we saw at ROSfest in Phoenixville PA. Number 19, 20, 41, 42 and 49 were seen at the Tin Angel in Philadelphia. Performers 21 through and including 33 are bands that we saw at this year’s NEARfest in Bethlehem PA. The Sellersville Theater is where we saw 34, 35, 47, and 48. Performer number 35 does one of our favorite songs, “How Can I Miss You If You Won’t Go Away.” We saw him at the Sellersville Theater. Performer 36 is an old friend that we saw at the Sly Fox BrewPub in Royersford PA. I remember helping him lift his tricycle up onto the porch at his parents’ house. We had never heard him play or sing, but we knew that he would be good and we were not disappointed! Number 37 was a concert at the Philadelphia Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Performance 38 was at the Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville. Matt has been a friend for years! It's always wonderful to see him whether he's alone or with his trio. We saw performers 39, 40, 41, and 42 all in the same day. Yes, we actually did see Joan As Policewoman at two different venues on the same day. We totally enjoyed "Meet the Dwights" (released as Loveland in Australia.)
"La Vie En Rose" (~Life is Pink)was fantastic. It's a bio-pic about the legendary French singer, Edith Piaf.
"Reservation Road" left something to be desired in the editing department. I thought the appearance of the overhead microphone was tacky.
We both like "August Rust," even its sappy ending.
The Kite Runner was NOT a cheery holiday movie, but it was an excellent film.
The best movie for me in 2006 was Look Both Ways. It was a film that we happened upon accidentally during on of our Wednesday romps in Philadelphia. It’s an Australian film that was never in wide release, as they say. The dvd is now available and I recommend picking it up. | | Television | Most of out TV watching is done by time shifting. We tape programs and then watch the tapes later.
