Sounds Like
a mix of dropkick murphys and flogging molly, a dash of punk and metal influences at times, with lyrics by 18 year old prodigy to the world who will never reach that goal. The guitarists scream like beached whales cause they will die soon. A minor viola player with the majorly huge sound. A singer with the voice of the guy from Saw, and the humor of robin williams. the drummer of amateur skill and great looks. or in other words sounds like breaking glass and explosions.
The 5 of us all hail from the same place. LCC (the highschool) This band was thrown together I would say a little over a month before our senior talent show. Yes one month. we were determined to take it by storm and we did just that pretty much. with about a practice a week and about 2-3 the last week before we got 3 cover songs down to feel comfortable enough to play them on stage. The night of it we took longer then we thought to set up. And being about 3rd from last on the list we had a while to wait. I (travis) was getting pretty excited to do this. So after we were ready, we played our 3 songs as best as we could with what we had at that talent show and got 2nd. (Krikor the fiddler beat us but its all good hes amazing) with a total of 175 bucks in the band for our band we...went out to eat.
We are currently writing our own music and still practicing about once a week in Travis's basement. Whats great about The LK is that we all add something to the band. With a good range of instruments and musical backgrounds and strengths. We aim to make some for of impact on the local scene and just have a good time.
