From soul to southern rock, from funk to jazz fusion, from jam band to progressive experimental, Week of Tuesdays has it all. In a day when the industry is ruled, and ruined, by cookie-cutter genre-safe acts, no label can be put on this music.
It started out as a one day jam session organized by a mutual friend of acoustic guitarist/singer/songwriter, Asher Rion, and Aesthetic drummer, Nick Tracy. Little did they know this one time deal would turn into a way of life. For reasons that to this day no one can explain they played and wrote music, just the two of them, for six months. At this point, gospel bassist, Ryan Layne was introduced to the band. After playing just one song with the guys, they both knew it was meant to be.
Week of Tuesdays has been making music for five years now. These preceding years have been nothing less than a grueling journey to discover true passion for music. What is to come for these guys is unknown, but one thing is certain. Wherever their road leads, they will be followed by heartfelt, passionate music, and an awe-inspiring live show.
Having played venues such as the Curtain Club, the old Gypsy Ballroom, the Aardvark, the Liquid Lounge, the Gezellig, Andy's, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, and the La Paz Festivals, Week of Tuesdays has a different show for every venue. Come join the ride and keep asking the world, "WHO IS WEEK OF TUESDAYS?"!
