With a sound somewhere between Boards of Canada and Gold Panda, Maxmillion Dunbar is a project from Andrew Field-Pickering, the Washington, D.C. man who is one half of Beautiful Swimmers and the head of the Future Times label.
The project debuted in 2008 when Future Times issued the "Outrageous Soulz" single, which was followed a year later by the Bare Feet EP. Hip-hop beats played a big role in the debut album, Cool Water, which was released in 2010 by Ramp Recordings. His sophomore effort, House of Woo, appeared on RVNG Int'l. in 2013 and featured a more subdued and serene sound. ~ David Jeffries
