Zookee formed in late 2005. Jens and Felix attracted quite some attention as a dynamic and confident rhythm section for artists like Damo Suzuki, Michael Karoli, The Can Solo Projects, Omar Rodriguez, Jelly Planet, Lee Buddah, Ken, Genepool, Michael Mittermeier,
Dike, Too Strong, John Watts and several more. In compliance with their desire to form a new own Band they met Christoph a smart young singer and guitarist. Jens and Felix saw him sing and play at a party and were well impressed with his sensitive yet strong performance. After a few rehearsals they had a representative couple of Songs defining the Sound that became Zookee. It became obvious that they're a great fit sharing a singular vision- to do the right thing, to play music...
In June 2008 Zookee is glad to welcome its new member, the young and smart guitarist, Jens Weber.
