The DELTA BLUES BAND is based near Warwick in the West Midlands, playing an eclectic mix of blues covers (some well-known and some not so well-known) as well as a few original songs.
The band was formed in the summer of 2006 when guitarists Neil Murray and Paul Broadhurst (formerly of Rooster) teamed up with bass player Dan Bones (Danansooz, Quarterpounders) and drummer Dave Shuttleworth (Stereotypes, 4 in a Bar).
Depending on the venue and occasion, Delta play either as an acoustic (guitars and cajon) or electric line-up (full PA, bass and drum kit).
Delta drummer Dave is doing a 400km Charity bike ride in Cuba in March to raise money for the Alzheimers Society - click the Justgiving button above for more information and please donate if you can!
Good thanks mate - bit quieter than we'd of liked but a good run out. Down at 'The Cellar Bar' again on Tuesday as a duo at Bob's Blues night (as 'Mojo 952'). That night's worth checking out if you haven't already....
The trio's up and running at last!! We're playing The Cellar Bar in Worcester on Thursday if you fancy a good night out (on the other side of the mic that is!!)
Hi, thank you for your congratulations and good luck! The final is a week today, wednesday the 18th at 8 pm - fancy heading over to watch? It's going to be a great night but also really tough being up against a band and a dj! So if you are at all interested and free, would be great to see you there and have the support! Let me know what you think :)
No worries Neil! Enjoyed it! As you say, a good night. Thanks for the 'sit in' by the way! 'Tis a great place to play that one. Acoustic tracks sounding good guys!!
See you soon no doubt!
Cheers Mark
PS. Dave, jam night next week - generally scope for percussion! On the off chance there's a drummer, I'm sure you could well get a bash on the kit too/instead.... And guitar too Paul!!
