UPDATE 8/3/08
Crafting!
For about the last year I've gotten back into crafting. Its almost -- okay it is - an addiction. books, music and movies/tv have taken a back seat to my new obsession. Among the many crafts I enjoy, my favorites are:
- Sewing - hand and machine
- Embroidering
- Beading
- Playing with Polymer Clay
- ATCs
- anything involving a glue gun
I am a fabric addict. I'm into really cute fabric. I guess one would call it Kawaii. I also love Day of the Dead inspired prints.
I don't really use many of the soc nets that I used to, but I do check in to brightkite.
So if you really want to know where I am, check it out
No big deal because I am usually at work or home.
Other interests include:
Reading and listening to books
music
cooking
baking
candy making
being a mom
anything web... from graphic design to designing websites
to research to forums
to youtube,
myspace, 360, facebook, Twitter, netvibes, shelfari, last.fm...
arrgh! it never stops! I'm addicted!
Is there a 12-Step for this? Good thing for cos it helps me keep up with it all.
So what I am most famous for
(and its also my all time favorite thing to do - just ask Barry)
is being a bitch.
AHHH.... I do it so well.
Music
I enjoy driving with no sound. It is the most relaxing thing for me. Although, I do still have bouts of road rage. Lucky for you and you and you, I don't own a gun.
I LOVE the Juno Soundtrack! Awesome.
Check out my bro's band - Absynth Quintet at their myspace page the absynth quintet my bro is the one with the huge ass guitar looking thing... its an upright bass. :)
I love Etta James and Van Morrison. I love Blues & Rock and on occasion, I can get into some 80s and old County (dolly & willie country). I love Mary J. Blige and I adore Tupac. You know he IS still alive. Him and Elvis. XOXO Tupac!
I like Indie movies most of all. I hate horror and blockbuster movies. I hate going to the cinema with the whole fucking world sitting next to me. I hate hearing people crunching on their popcorn and sipping on their drink. OOOHHH and I hate the crinkling of candy wrappers. I just hate being around people at a movie theater. I want to enjoy a movie without all the fucking distractions. I'll settle for watching a DVD on my 27 inch tube tv. thankyouverymuch! Do you know how many people sit on those seats?? eewww! yuck. and can you imagine the stains and smells on them?? gross. No thanks. I'll keep my ass at home.
Television
I keep the tv on to keep me company while I am crafting.
Its usually from about 10:30pm to 1:00am when everyone is on their way to beddy-bye.
My night time line up is:
King of the Hill
That 70s Show
Scrubs
I enjoy watching but won't die if I miss them: - Monk
- The Cleaner
- Intervention
- The Closer
- Psyche
- What Not to Wear
Books
I love reading and I love audio books!
My favorite genre is Chick-Lit, fiction, Memoirs, then Murder Mystery.
I love to sit and read a book, but I usually end up listening to them
in the car or at my desk at work. I'm so thankful for audio books!
I just can't sit and listen to them like I can sit and read. I need something
to keep me occupied when I'm listening or I fall asleep.
Anyway, I was hooked on audible.com
until I found the library!
Ya know? They let you borrow their books for FREE??!! NO payment except
if you return it late... but what's 10? ??? huh? Look, you can browse
online for the title, put it on hold and then you just walk on in and
tell them who you are -- if they don't already know you (heh heh) and
they give it to you!!! Just like nothing... Can you believe -- Its all
for free!!! OMG whodavthunkit?
UPDATE!!!
I found a section on the Harris
County Public Library's website site that offers Audio books that
you can download!!! Its found here.
Just like Audible.com --I AM IN HEAVEN!!! and did I mention... the library is FREE! ?!?!?!
