We (Martin Welham and son Tom) have been writing and recording together as The Story for the past few years, creating what's turned out to be loosely psychedelic acoustic music from the depths of Somerset, England.
Martin was part of UK psych-folk band Forest (myspace.com/forest70) who released 2 albums in 1969 and 1970 on the Harvest label. Recently Forest's eponymous debut album was re-issued by Radioactive Records on both Vinyl and CD.
In October 2005 The Story contributed one side of 'The Dawn Is Crowned' a vinyl LP with Whysp. Our debut full-length album 'Tale Spin' was released Feb 2006 on Sunbeam Records. Out second full-length album 'Arcane Rising' was released in download form in May 2007 and on CD in November 2007 also on the Sunbeam label. tHE wICKER mAN video (2008)
Thanks again for the interview in May, just thought I'd say "She Doesn't Care" Sounds really good! Looking forward to hearing any more new material when you put some on!
Me and Jess love the new songs you have put up, and can't wait for more :) As usual, Down to the Trees takes us home... Precious One is an epic, so many different emotions. The rhythm fits perfectly, and the lyrics so poignant :) xXx

Just wanted to say thank you to you both. I've been feeling a little more anxious lately and listening (and singing along) to the songs on your site has cheered me up and soothed me. Particularly All Hallows Eve, A Course Of Action, Hope and Pray and Down To The Trees.. oh, well, all of them really :p
Hope you are both doing really well, keep making your beautiful music.
